County Councillor Carol
Cavill's Report
April 2009
Local Development
Plan
The candidate sites submitted to Pembrokeshire county
council are now
published on the County Council's website.
The officers responsible will be
sifting through these during the
next few weeks and the accepted sites will
be included in the
draft local plan. When this is completed, the Community
Council
will be consulted for their comments. Several sites within
Penally
have been submitted.
Community Council matters
reported to me
The seat opposite Penally Heights is in poor
condition and needs some
attention
Also at this end of the
village the contractor is having difficulty cutting
the verge in
certain places as the hedge is overgrown. I have spoken to
the
landowner but unfortunately, due to ministry of Agriculture
regulations
regarding nesting birds, it was too late to do
anything this Spring. Hedges
cannot now be cut until
September.
It has been suggested to me that the path on the
Village green to the
church, though there is a rail, is too steep
to comply with the Disabled
Discrimination act. As the
Community Council own this land , it is up to
them whether they
want to take this further.
